No you didn't have to get up and leave, you chose to. It would have been better for you to have stayed and let others become aware of their strange behavior, perhaps by asking them out loud "don't you recognize me" ?

I sympathize to a certain extent, but honestly you had better toughen up when it comes to letting people hurt you. Put on your man britches and let 'em have it next time!

Has anyone had a WT literature burning party?

i keep staring at the bookshelf full of wt literature in my house and keep having visions of a red-orange glow as the flames crawl higher and higher.

my goal is to gather it all together, douse it with lighter fluid, and watch it go!.

ultimately, i dream of my wife being the one who strikes the match and joins me in the celebration.. has anyone had that experience?

Yep, marshmallow caught fire. I swished the stick back and forth, marshmallow took flight and landed in my cousins hair! Hope she has "caught on"

New M.O. in feild service?

so, a week or so before "passover", two witnesses knocked and being that my dogs were going nuts i left the outer door closed.

she handed me a tract (invitation) said she was "visiting the neighborhood".

no mention that they were witnesses, in fact she displayed a king james bible with gold lettering on the cover in such a way that i would notice.

Back in the day when I was in feild service we were instructed to carry a KJ as back up in case the householder insisted on using it in any scripture,

we were taught to use certain scriptures that would not contradict either trans.

The deception is shocking!

Next time, I will inquire and engage them in conversation!

Is the jw congregation 'clean' today?

had an argument about this.i say no because many have done some really nasty things.it may tend to be 'clean' but i think it's not.what do you think?.

It doesn't make sense to me either hon. Never did. To be judgemental and tattle on others makes us judges and not focused on our own relationship with god, also it cheapens the power of god. In ohter words, god needs human beings to rat out each other because he cant deal with individual hearts.

What sense does that make?
